At the request of the Downtown Association on Nov. 28th we opened the cafe at 4am in the morning! Crazy! The cause of so much commotion was none other than Good Morning America filming live the Coeur d'Alene Resort Holiday Light Show. The resort pulled out all the stops including reenacting the holiday night time parade, fireworks and another tree lighting ceremony...all these had been done the night after Thanksgiving which is the traditional night for the holiday festivities in town. I must confess to my skepticism at opening at 4am, especially when we normally open at 7am. Anyway it was surprisingly busy, our customers were super friendly and many of them thanked us for being open so they could get their morning cup of Joe and warm up. I just want to say thank you for coming and making it all worth it!
